NH Nonprofits Betty J. Borry Breast Cancer Retreats and On Belay Receive Funding from The Fabulous Find Resale Boutique

Proceeds from the store’s February sales benefit local charities

DURHAM, NH, March 18, 2024 -- Betty J. Borry Breast Cancer Retreats and On Belay are pleased to announce they have each received over $11,000 in grant funding from The Fabulous Find, a nonprofit resale boutique that distributes its monthly profits to local charities. The Board of Directors of The Fabulous Find chose these two deserving NH-based nonprofit organizations to benefit from its February 2024 sales, along with NH Pet Aid.

Betty J. Borry Breast Cancer Retreats offers adventure-based outdoor retreats to New England-area women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. On Belay provides free year-round adventure programs for youth whose lives have been derailed by a loved one's cancer to provide these kids with a supportive community of peers, a space to uncover inner resilience, and to have fun.

This donation comes during February, Cancer Prevention Month, which is meaningful to both of these cancer-focused charities. “We were excited to partner once again with The Fabulous Find and are grateful to be one of the recipients of this incredible grant. We were delighted to share this amazing store with our community and the unique way The Fabulous Find gives back to local charitable organizations, such as ours,” remarked Lindsay Northrop, Executive Director of Betty J. Borry Breast Cancer Retreats. Madeline Brooks, Executive Director of On Belay concurred, “We are thrilled to have been chosen by The Fabulous Find as one of the recipients during the month of February. As a small nonprofit, donations like this make a huge impact on both the quantity and quality of programs we are able to provide to our On Belay kids! Having increased our program offerings by 70% in the last three years, these funds from The Fabulous Find will help us to continue to meet the growing need for our programs. Many thanks to everyone who shopped and donated, we are so grateful for your support and generosity!”
